I went to this house for a Cado wall unit, but I couldn’t pass up this vintage boombox, still in the original packaging! I love finding vintage pieces that have never been taken out of the box. They call it “NEW OLD STOCK”. You could tell this boombox was made well. It had some weight to it, and you could tell it wasn’t junk. It was made to last. We got these Borge Mogensen cane-back chairs from the original owner, who bought them in Denmark in the 60s, had them shipped to her home in Japan, then when she moved to America, she had them shipped to Princeton NJ, where they lived with her until 2024. She had impeccable taste and style, and these chairs perfectly matched her quiet and calm personality. We did some re-caning, refinishing, and some new leather strapping with some help from @asburyleathercraft. Quality. Vintage furniture is a great investment- it’s much better quality than most furniture manufactured today. Most of our pieces are 50+ years old, and can last another 50+!
