Rare Eames molded plywood room divider folding screens in maple—an exceptional example of midcentury design and functional artistry. Each panel showcases the warm, figured grain of maple, curved and laminated for strength and graceful form. Designed by Charles and Ray Eames, these folding screens combine portability with refined construction. Charles and Ray Eames noted that U-shaped cross sections of plywood from their early molding experiments were stable enough to stand alone. To make their screen, they joined the sections with canvas hinges and a synthetic adhesive developed during World War II. Today, a polypropylene mesh held securely by a new process ensures a longer life without compromising the integrity of the 1946 design. You get a portable, foldable, enjoyable way to divide space and give privacy.

“Curbside Delivery $” - Philly Area: $200 / NYC Area: $200 / NJ Area: $100- we will drop off your pieces on the curb (or driveway) and then you carry them inside yourself. Please make sure you have adequate help with you to bring your pieces inside. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
