Rare Pair of Restored Hans Wegner JH-503 Chairs with fresh green upholstery

Description: Rare Pair of JH-503 round chairs in teak, designed by Hans J. Wegner for Johannes Hansen. Known simply as "The Chair," this iconic armchair was created by the famed Danish architect in 1949. The teak frames have been carefully restored and they have also been reupholstered with new foam seats and a fun green fabric to set them apart from the rest! If you compare prices online, you will find that these chairs can retail for upwards of $10,000 for a pair, but we are offering them for much less. This particular pair was once used at Chase Manhattan Bank corporate offices in NYC. Hans Wegner designed a specialized version of the chair for Chase Manhattan bank corporate offices in the 1970’s, and this pair was likely taken home by an employee during renovations.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition. One chair had a fine crack in the backrest/arm seam, but this has been re-glued and repaired, although it is still somewhat visible, it is structurally sound. Please see photos. The entire chairs have been refinished and reupholstered.

PLEASE NOTE:
Please allow 2-3 weeks for all NJ/NYC/PHILLY delivery. We pair all deliveries with other deliveries in your area in order to be efficient and also offer you the best pricing. If your schedule is flexible, delivery will be faster.
“FREE local curbside delivery” is subject to our availability. We will drop off your pieces on the curb (or driveway) and then you carry them inside yourself. Please make sure you have adequate help with you to bring your pieces inside. This FREE service is only available to locations within 20 minutes of our shop.
“Inside Delivery” means an expert delivery service will transport your pieces to your home and place them wherever you desire. Please notify us of any stairs, narrow doorways, or difficult parking situations ahead of time.
Delivery rates are approximate and may vary if you bought a large number of pieces, extra heavy pieces, or have stairs (or other obstacles such as a long walk to the entrance). Please contact us for more info.
If your building requires a COI (Certificate of Insurance) in order to enter, please advise in advance so that we can coordinate with the building ahead of time. There is also an additional $50 charge if a COI is required.

FREE PICKUP:
